The FLEX XC 3401 VRG Mini Backing Plate is 4.5 inches in diameter and allows you to use 5 or 5.5 inch pads with your FLEX XC3401 polisher. The plate is designed specifically for this polisher, and creates the forced rotation that sets the FLEX apart from other dual action buffers.

The secret to the FLEX XC 3401 VRG Polisher’s professional grade performance is in the backing plate. The unique design forces a true dual action motion, rather than jiggling. The backing plate’s fit and design reduce vibration and give you a smoother, more comfortable motion.

The FLEX XC 3401 VRG Mini Backing Plate is made of durable molded plastic with a urethane pad to dampen vibration and heat. Hook and loop fasteners cover the bottom of the plate from edge to edge. The backing plate is 4.5 inches in diameter. We recommend 5 or 5.5 inch pads.

Because of its special features, the FLEX XC 3401 VRG Polisher only accommodates a factory FLEX backing plate. Use a hex wrench to tighten the new plate securely onto the polisher. Add on a foam pad and you’re ready to polish!
